On 20 Oct 2022, Cambodian Transmission II Co., Ltd. (CTL-2), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leader Energy has entered into a business transfer agreement with Diamond Power Ltd. (DPL), a 60% owned subsidiary of Pestech International Berhad to acquire the 230kV Kampong Cham-Kratie Transmission System in Cambodia as a going concern business.   The 25-year build-operate-transfer transmission system from DPL will become our second significant transmission project in our energy portfolio, and it will continue to power up Kampong Cham and Kratie, as well as transmitting electricity from the Lower Se San 2 hydropower plant in Stung Treng to Kratie.   Leader Energy’s green energy investment portfolio will continue to expand and be in line with the net zero emission goals while powering up cities in Asia Pacific for a sustainable environment and future.

Heartiest congratulations to Mr Gan Boon Hean, Group CEO of Leader Energy for winning the CEO of The Year award at the Malaysia Solar Week Leadership Awards 2022.

This award is to recognise Mr Gan’s contribution to growing the company from development in one country to seven countries in the last 8 years. He has been instrumental in Converting the company from a thermal power plant developer into a renewable energy company, embarking on new technologies such as energy storage, EV car charging, and possibly green hydrogen.

We are proud to have such a wonderful leader charting Leader Energy’s roadmap to greater success with more renewable energy initiatives and innovative technologies for a #sustainable future.
